Chase had to have surgery to open the entire area of the bite wounds to clean out the infection. He has two incisions. One seems to be healing although if is a long process probably due to his FIV and anemia. He has another surgical opening under his left front leg that is still filled with too much necrotic tissue to be closed but the bad tissue is being removed with aquatic treatments (which he is not fond of) so soon should be able to be closed and start healing better. He purred the entire time he was being handled for his updated pictures although you could tell he was tired of being handled. He will be in the hospital for at least another week or two.The bill will be high so if you have it in your heart to help him please donate with the button below. He has to wear clothes to protect his incisions so he always has a new outfit to show off.
This beautiful baby, Chase, was brought to us today, Sunday, May 22 with a severe abdominal injury. We do not know the cause but he is in lots of pain and discomfort so we have given him pain medicine and antibiotics. We will take him to the vet in the morning and hope that they can help him. He may not make it and we are worried for him. The vet bill will be significant and we are very tight on funds right now due to all the TNR that we have been doing so your help would be very appreciated.
